Teaching Philosophy All children are born with an innate curiosity and desire to learn. It is our job as educators to keep this curiosity and desire alive and growing. We need to equip our students with the skills to be life-long learners. Along with the parents, we need to be each of our student’s motivator, cheerleader, and support person so that he or she can be the best he or she is meant to be. As teachers we need to remember that we can either negatively or positively influence a child’s life. It is my hope that the teachers I train will be positive influences on generations of children to come. My teaching assignments at ISU have included: SED 245.09 - Fieldwork in Teaching Speech to Deaf/Hard of Hearing SED 245.10 - Fieldwork in Teaching Reading to Deaf/Hard of Hearing SED 245.11 - Fieldwork in Special Education Deaf/Hard of Hearing - Senior Practicum SED 359 - Teaching Reading and School Subjects to Deaf/Hard of Hearing SED 354 – Teaching Language to Deaf/Hard of Hearing SED 245.08 - Fieldwork in Teaching Language to Deaf/Hard of Hearing Supervisor - Student Teachers | |||||
